Danfoss A1: High temperature alarm (High Temp) This fault typically halts operation and needs immediate attention.
Possible causes
- Insufficient cooling capacity (compressor/valve failure, refrigerant shortage)
- Alarm threshold A13 set too low, or sensor S3 (return air) incorrectly positioned
Check steps
- Check the refrigeration system for cooling performance/faults (compressor, EEV, refrigerant charge)
- Check parameter A13 (High Alarm Setpoint), A03 (Alarm Delay) and sensor S3
Affected parts
- Compressor
- EEV (electronic expansion valve)
- S3 return air sensor
Safety note
Depressurize the refrigerant circuit and de-energize the system before intervening.
